Cybercriminals have found another way to get rich with our own computers. It’s news that special Digmine Cryptocurrency Bot spreading virus through Facebook messenger, whose task is to ... dig cryptocurrency.

The Digmine Cryptocurrency Bot was first noticed in South Korea, but over the last dozen or so hours the scale of its activities began to cover other countries. Trend Micro estimates that at such a rate Digmine can appear in Europe and the US within a few days.

The Digmine Cryptocurrency Bot Facebook Virus is supposed to work only for desktop computers - the phones themselves remain safe. The infection proceeds on the principle of sending to the victim a file that looks like a video - but it is a trap because the file has a special script that begins to dig cryptocurrencies using our processor and graphics card. What's worse, the message is sent on to all of our friends.

Fortunately, Facebook already knows about the problem and took on its solution - the fight against the virus is expected to last.

But watch out for what links you click and what you get in conversations with your friends. The consequences of opening an inappropriate file can be very unpleasant.
